If the green zombies weren't created by Rhesus, where did they come from?
Why was Cotys apparently prepared to sacrifice half his army to the green zombies?
Why did Rhesus disappear from the narrative after his rousing speech? Hercules clearly admired him, and he could have made an excellent ally.
Why was everyone being so negative to Rhesus?
Where was Xena?
Answer contains spoilers.
The "green zombies" were a tribe, who teamed up with Rhesus to try and stop the tyrant Cotys.
Cotys naturally wanted the opposition stopped so he could rule without challenge, and used his army to fight his cause.

That's helpful. But assuming Cotys knew (or suspected) the tribe had teamed up with Rhesus, why did he take a half-trained army into battle against greatly superior odds, placing his kingdom - and his own life - in danger? If he didn't know, then he was foolhardy AND stupid, not usually the characteristics of a tyrant.
And whose heads were on the sticks?

I thought this was solid (certainly much,
much better than 'The Legend Of Hercules' from earlier this year

) & was pretty much entertaining throughout.
I did think it was a little bit weak at the beginning but then got stronger as things progressed but must admit that I was disappointed that they chose to undermine the legend (I was expecting a relatively straight forward retelling of the twelve tasks etc).
Performance wise I thought everyone involved was decent at the very least (Johnson and McShane stood head & shoulders above the rest) and I didn't expect the twist that occurred about an hour or so into this film's running time.
Overall this was a decent swords & sandals flavoured action flick so it gets a respectable 7/10 from me...

is this even revisionist? it alludes to the Labours throughout (even if it smears them occasionally too) but Herc in mythology worked for lots of corrupt kings so that part cant be far from the truth of the legend.
meh moot point anyway since its all made up mythology.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

I like Dwayne but this was a very weak film more suitable for TV than the big screen. 3/10

Watched this via BlinkBox as I'm cancelling Sky TV and so they blocked me making Sky Store purchases

There loss at being able to get a few more quid out of me
A so so film. DJ defo looked the part. Co stars were good enough but the story was a little week for me so a 6.5/10.
