Saw this at wester Hailes last night, quite busy considering how wet it was!!

Not the best film I have seen lately. Thought Renee Zellwigger surprisingly good as softly softly social worker and liked Mickey from Hustle and Ian McShane, nice to see some Brits in a US film. So extra point for this

Did not really feel there was enough explanation on the girl. Think it has been edited a couple of times.

To be honest if it had been on TV I would have gone to make a coffee and probably switched over so probably only a 4.5/10 from me

I saw it at Kingston as well and im so glad for the technical hitch coz I was getting very scared…let me first say that I scare very easy, but I can handle the traditional horror movies with blood and violence but psychological thrillers are way too freaky for me. I didn’t really enjoy the movie, although I was so scared I could have cried-it was more jumpy and freaky then gory (which I prefer, I know im strange) …so id have to give it a 3/10.
What was worse then the movie was the meal I had at Frango’s afterwards…it was horrible. I love Nandos so I thought it was the same thing, oh how wrong I was!

Looks like quite a few of us were at the Kingston screening then. A screening riddled by several irritants. Being kept waiting to get into the screen, the technical hitch at a key tense moment and an annoying bloke behind me who kept talking to his girlfriend for the entire movie. Sadly the movie itself didn't exactly make up for it. A pretty poor psychological horror with some of the most cliched jumpy moments I've seen in a long time. It's as if the filmmakers made a list of jumpy moments from films past and ticked them off as they went. Vicious dog jumping at window. Check. Person knocking on window of car as character sits quietly. Check. I'm surprised they didn't use the cat jumping out of nowhere too. These kind of scares are always the cheapest way to make an audience jump. At least when Sam Raimi did it continuously in 'Drag Me To Hell' he was well aware of how shameless it was and that was part of the fun. Here it was just tiresome after the first couple. Several unintentionally amusing scenes too. Didn't think much of the young actress playing Lillith either to be honest. She was okay in some scenes but poor in others. The rest of the cast were adequate although Kerry O'Malley and Callum Keith Rennie were effectively creepy as the parents. The film had a couple of okay tense scenes (including the one disrupted by a technical hitch), but overall it was pretty poor. Filmed in 2006, it's taken over 3 years to make it to the screen, which is rarely a good sign.

What a strange film. Saw it at Odeon in Birmingham. And I think most of the audience thought it was a comedy as there was so much laughing going on

Saw this at Westerhailes, Edinburgh last night. Sitting a few rows behind Marjoreemarjora and OH but had to move because of the stench of food around us. Moved seats but the noise of the rustling paper and crunching is the worst I have endured for a long time. Cinema must have made a fortune on all the food and drink people were consuming!!

As for the film - agree there was not enough explaination as to why the girl was like this. We jumped and said OMG several times but overall we enjoyed it. 6/10
