I agree that it could have been about 20 minutes shorter but I thought it was hilarious in parts. There were a few very disappointed folk in Glasgow who walked out. I don't understand why it was a 'secret' screening though, surely it would have got a better reception if folk knew that it was Troll Hunter? The scenery was beautiful, it was very Tongue in cheek and the chap playing the troll hunter was suitably grumpy and genuinely looked uncomfortable at being filmed. The trolls were pretty cool but I like Scandinavian mythology. My favourite characters were the polish bear delivery team and the 'three Billy sheep/ goat gruff'

I used one of my £2 itison vouchers to see this this afternoon at DCA cinema - ages since I'd been there and I'd forgotten what a lovely wee cinema it si.

Anyway, both of us loved this. It was just the right side of hilarious and comedic whilst remaining serious.

Anyone else think the guy playing Thomas looked like a younger version of Dec from Ant n' Dec?!

Big fan od Scandanavian movies, the scenery was amazing and the plot was clever.

8/10 from us - go see it!!

Yes! I had a migraine on tuesday so didn't write a review and then forgot to come back to do it :shifty:
I kept thinking he looked like Dec and expecting Ant to pop up at any moment, especially with his little side glances it added to tthe comedy effect for me.

9/10. comic without falling apart, with a wonderful lead role in the troll hunter guy who was ultra-nonchalant about any size or shape of danger. The film treads the right line between scary and comedy. The movie reminded me constantly of when you are 9 years old and you interpret the most mundane things around you as having some secret mythological meaning - boulders could be dead trolls, bridges over brooks become guarded or charmed crossings, electric pylons could be fences to keep trolls in etc.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

8/10
Not really the same thing as Blair Witch as I was expecting but it still makes you wait for something unpredictable to happen, not in a scared way but in a curious instead.
Best part of the movie - it's scenery, and particularly the last scene with a huge troll.

Finally got round to seeing this after missing countless screenings. Really enjoyed this. Reinvigorates the 'found footage' film by making it fun. The characters were engaging and the creature designs fantastic. The Norwegian scenery was incredibly beautiful too. Admittedly it could have lost about 10 mins from the running time and been a little tighter, but I enjoyed it a great deal.
