It was my day off so I decided that since I'd need a tram ticket for the Taking Woodstock screening later to go and see Up in 3D at lunchtime. When I came out I saw a massive big cardboard cut-out poster advertising the polo timesless screening with little postcards about how to vote (even though the voting closed last night). Since it was quiet I went over to the ticket counter and asked about whether they'd accept email printouts if the tickets don't arrive. The first guy got his line manager who I then had to show him the massive poster to show what I was going on about, then he went away to look into it and I also spotted him on the phone. After a 5-10 minute wait he came back and said that the screening was on thursday (as I already knew ) and that if my tickets didn't arrive they would accept a print out of the email. o/

He also said the film was
mamma mia! so it's looking pretty certain that's what'll it'll be. I'm now not sure about going but then again it is another one towards the free films total and there is the goodie bag
That was for cineworld sheffield so if your tickets haven't arrived in another part of the country it might be worth contacting the cinema to make sure they are aware about the problem and will accept printouts.

and I just got this email, they're still pretending that voting actually counted for something

Dear Elski,

Maverick had Goose, Sandy had Danny and Carrey had Mr. Big, but who will be your partner on the night?

Now might be a good time to start thinking about it because your tickets are in the post and we're busy counting the last few votes to find out which film will be showing on your screening night.

We look forward to seeing you both at .....

In the meantime, good luck finding your 'Wingman'.

Should your tickets not arrive, please print this email and bring it with you on the night. You'll be on our guest list.

You are not alone - I haven't either! - I will be so disappointed if it turns out to be something else. :cross:

If I had had any cinemas near me for those screenings I would have wanted to see Love Actually! If it is Mamma Mia I will at least not loose out, they are showing it in Canary Wharf on 10th November.

Spoke to the manager tonight at Cineworld, Edinburgh when I was at the screening of Taking Woodstock as I wanted to confirm they would take the email if the tickets don't arrive in time. But he knew in advance that the film was going to be (sorry can't do spoiler) so the voting was a lot of tosh! :x

So all that fuss waiting on tickets and hoping it was SATC was a waste of time . My daughter and I will not be going as we have seen it twice and although it was very good don't fancy seeing it again just to get a "goodie bag". I'll be interested to see what they put in it.
