I loved it..I thought the filming was done very well and I liked the little things that were added in.
Kept me gripped 9/10
Also Goodybags = nice bonus...did feel sorry for the people who b*ght popcorn beforehand though

Re: The Pacific - TV series
I found myself getting confused between the characters because there was nothing very distinctive about them and they were all in uniform. The battle scenes seemed endless and were so dark you could barely see what was going on. I too wished I had left after the first episode because the second one was just one repetitive battle after another. The scenes of the aftermath of the battles were quite horrific, but I found myself unmoved as I was so fed up with having to sit through the battles.
I kept on wondering how much of the massive budget had been spent on the interminable fighting. The film could have been so much better if we had been given a lot more human interest and less gunfire and bombs.
On the plus side - the goody bags were a nice touch and I was impressed by the massive screen that it was shown on.
4/10 from me as well

Ooh sorry Ethan - one of your neighbours must have nicked it! Or you were very unlucky and it was the one they forgo to fill. There were green and blacks milk chocolate and white chocolate I think. I did see some people take extra goody bags at the end but you might as well - they were meant to be taken. I just couldn't face carrying all the bags on the train home.EthanRunt wrote:Chocolate? My bag was sans chocolate.

Re: The Pacific - TV series
Perhaps I shouldn't make such assumptions but I wonder if there is a bit of a male/female divide happening over the rating of this preview? I've got a feeling that this mini-series is going to primarily appeal to a male audiance and I think most of the unfavourable reviews have been from female forum members so far.

Re: The Pacific - TV series
Well there were most certainly more males than females in the audience.
