Its nothing to do with that, there isnt anything wrong with the occasional chick flick, it's just I really didn't think there was anything more to be done where Bridget Jones was concerned :S

I loved the first one but as with most sequels the more there are the more it dilutes the original story and the seem to get sillier to come up with some sort of story.

I agree, this is just getting silly. Is there even a book this is based on or are they just inventing some stupid storyline?

Probably true but a girlie night out with chocolate and a laugh with gentle/inoffensive humour is fun!

Apparently there's a third book as well (or coming) but it may not be the same storyline as the movie? :/

But there are loads of other chicklit books out there they could turn into films without having to try so hard to generate a new story with these same characters, just seems desperate.

Mike Myers agrees to Austin Powers 4. It's one series I don't mind watching more of it, shame Mike Myers hasn't had much luck outside of Austin Powers and Wayne's World.
