I avoided all reviews of this and finally got to see this tonight at the BAFTA tour at WIQ, and was thoroughly rewarded by the wait. Excellent. No special effects or heroism. Tom Hanks' and the Somalian captain's performances simply matches each other. The last scenes b*ght tears to my eyes, so emotional. Tense and tragic. Even more poignant as it is based on a true story. 9/10

I liked this film and thought the acting, story and tempo of the film was spot on. 9/10 from me. The trivia in IMDB for the film I found equally interesting.

I found it a bit over long, but the final 10 minutes well Tom Hanks' performance just blew me away!
