Get ready for another Hangover!

The main stars of The Hangover have officially signed on for the sequel.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis are all on board the sequel to last year’s surprise summer smash.

It was originally reported that the film would take place in Thailand. However, the film’s director, Todd Phillips, recently quashed those claims, saying, “There was (a) rumour also that it was going to Mexico or something and neither are true.”

The actors will reportedly receive around £3.3 million to reprise their roles.

Way to go, Asa!

Boy, 12, beats hundreds of hopefuls to land lead in Martin Scorsese film
Peter Dominiczak
29.03.10

A London boy aged 12 has beaten hundreds of children in auditions to land the lead role in the latest Martin Scorsese film.

Islington-born Asa Butterfield has been cast as the hero in The Invention Of Hugo Cabret to be made by the director famous for screen classics such as Raging Bull and Goodfellas.

Based on a best-selling children's book by Brian Selznick, The Invention Of Hugo Cabret tells the story of an orphan who lives in a Paris railway
station in the Thirties.

Asa, who will be 13 on Thursday, will star alongside Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen in the film, which begins shooting in May.

He had minor roles in 2006 television drama After Thomas and the 2007 film Son Of Rambow, but he first won wider attention for his role as the son of an SS concentration camp commandant befriending a Jewish boy in the film The Boy In The Striped
Pyjamas.

He also landed a starring role in the current release Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang alongside Emma Thompson and Ralph Fiennes.

Asa, who does not come from an acting family, joined the Young Actors' Theatre in Islington at the age of seven.

Mark Herman, who directed The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas, said Asa was the third person among hundreds that he saw for the role.
He added: “I thought he was fantastic but we kept on searching, just because we wanted to make sure that no stone was unturned.

“In the end, we went back to him because the crucial thing was to find a child who can hold the screen.
“Asa does that. And he has just the right blend of innocence and curiosity for the role, and such compelling, watchful eyes.”

Asa has also appeared in three episodes of the TV series Merlin and in an episode of Ashes To Ashes.

The artistic director of the Young Actors' Theatre in Islington, Andrew Harries, said of Asa: “He has been studying here with us for six years and this is his third major feature film.”

Ford joins 'Cowboys and Aliens'

Harrison Ford has signed up to star in sci-fi western ‘Cowboys and Aliens’. The ‘Indiana Jones’ star will appear in the film – which sounds brilliantly bonkers – alongside ‘007’ actor Daniel Craig.

Director Jon Favreau posted on his Twitter page, “Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in 'Cowboys & Aliens’. Okay? He is. Please don’t tell anybody.”

Robert Downey Jr was scheduled to star in the film, the title of which makes a summary of the plot irrelevant, but left because of scheduling difficulties.

Sounds ludicrous - I'm all for it! o/

Calling all Hugh Jackman fans!

Jackman hails 'Wolverine' sequel script.

Hugh Jackman has lauded the ‘Wolverine 2’ script as the “best one we’ve had”.
While 2009’s ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ was mauled by critics, it was a huge success at the box office. But Jackman insists the sequel will be better received after finally getting his hands on the script.
He told MTV, “It’s the best one we’ve had.”
The second movie will feature Wolverine battling samurai warriors in Japan, with Jackman adding, “You know how these things work. We may not be able to do all of it in Japan, but definitely a lot of it."

Heather Locklear Arrested for Hit-and-Run

It looks like Heather Locklear is in trouble again. The actress was arrested for allegedly hitting a no-parking sign on a public street early Saturday morning near her gated-community home in Ventura County, Calif., and left without notifying anyone, police say. The actress, who was driving a black 2005 BMW, was cited for misdemeanor hit-and-run after Ventura County Sheriffs examined debris left at the scene and traced it back to her car, sheriff's spokesman Ross Bonfiglio tells People. "While Locklear was technically arrested, she was not handcuffed or taken to a station because it was just a misdemeanor charge," Bonfiglio says.

Angelina Jolie in race-row over new Cleopatra role

With the infamous original starring Elizabeth Taylor nearly bankrupting 20th Century Fox and rife with drama (Elizabeth Taylor famously began an affair with co-star Richard Burton after meeting on set), filmmakers would no doubt have hoped the new version would prove less controversial than the first. But with Angelina Jolie confirmed to be playing Cleopatra, this looks unlikely.

The actress, who in 2005's Mr & Mrs Smith notoriously fell in love with married co-star Brad Pitt and is certainly no stranger to scandal, is already proving a dubious choice. African American websites and blogs are alight with anger on film producer Scott Rudin's choice, with critics fiercely slating the decision. Essence.com's Shirea L. Carroll ranted: "I don't care how full Angelina Jolie's lips are, how many African children she adopts, or how bronzed her skin will become for the film, I firmly believe this role should have gone to a black woman." Her choices? Vanessa Williams, Halle Berry and Thandie Newton.

Luckily for Jolie, writer of the book on which the film is based, Stacy Schiff maintains that Angelina is absolutely the right fit for the role and that "physically, she's got the perfect look".

With whispers that Brad Pitt is reportedly being considered for the role of Cleopatra's lover Marc Anthony, perhaps this version of the iconic flick is going to be even more juicily anticipated than the last….

Stallone nearing retirement! 8O

Sylvester Stallone has hinted that he is set to retire from acting.

The 'Rocky' star believes he's on “borrowed time” in regards to being in front of the camera, but he's looking forward to spending more time behind it.

He said, “I'm on borrowed time. At this age I hear the ticking clock and it's as loud as the gong on Big Ben. The ultimate ambition is to follow in Clint Eastwood's footsteps and move on to directing films without me having to be in them.

"I'm on borrowed time and know my longevity will be predicted on being able to make that move.”

Stallone is on writing, directing and starring duties for his new movie 'The Expendables'.

Lautner to join 'X-Men'?

Taylor Lautner is reportedly top of the 'X-Men' bosses' shortlist to play Beast in the eagerly awaited prequel.

Benjamin Walker was in talks to play the superhero, but has since left the project. And it seems Twentieth Century Fox are now desperate to get the 'Twilight' star for 'X-Men: First Class' – according to Showbiz 411.

If he signs on, Lautner will star alongside James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender – who play Professor Xavier and Magneto respectively.

'X-Men: First Class', which is directed by Matthew Vaughn, is aiming for a 2011 summer release.
