Suggestion!

How would you feel about breaking the 'film discussion' section into sub-boards? Such as 'future releases', 'in cinemas now' '2010 films' etc etc. It would just make things easier to to find, and it would look a lot better too.

Surely that would mean having to move things around. Sounds like a lot of hard work to me.

Personally I would prefer to have less different boards, the simpler the better.

There is always the search function when you want to find the thread for a particular film.

I am well aware of that. But that's ridiculous, and far more time consuming than moving one thread from one board to another board, which takes a matter of seconds. And that's a redundant point about it being "hard work". It isn't hard work at all. Hard work is digging a grave, hard work is being a surgeon. Using ones hand to click on a couple of things on a weekly basis is not. It's just messy. There's no order to any of it. That's my observation. Make of it what you will.

I think you are being disrespective to the two admins who have a lot to do on this site as it is. Plus jobs, personal life etc. Hard work is relative. Not everybody is a grave digger. Office work can be just as intensive. It isn't difficult to use the search function. Not rocket science.

I kind of agree. I resent the fact being told that I ought to spend even more work on the forums in order for some members not having to conduct a 2 second search.

I haven't told you to do anything! I made a suggestion, god forbid. It's an undeniably messy area of this website. I love the site, you're doing a great job. But that particular section could be improved.

I am the first person to put lots of sub-folders up for private emails etc. But it doesn't seem to be making much sense to me here. I can't see it being messy and I am sure most people are perfectly capable of finding things. And I haven't got time to constantly move whole threads as people invariably will post in the wrong sub-forum, or move from "future releases" to "in cinemas now" when a film gets released. Also, sometimes an old thread get resurrected when a screening for an older film comes along again - where would you wish me to move that to then?
So, no offence, but it stays as it is.
