Does anyone know how to get hold of free passes for London Comic Con at London Excel 27-29 May 2011?
2011 will see the tenth anniversary of the London MCM Expo, London’s Comic Con – a decade in which the show has grown from a small collector’s fair to the biggest entertainment event in the UK, showcasing the best in comics, movies, video games, cosplay and anime. Last year’s MCM Group events alone attracted over 100,000 visitors, as well as playing host to the prestigious Eagle Comic Awards and Euro Cosplay Championships.
Britain’s answer to the San Diego Comic Con, the twice-yearly London MCM Expo at ExCel London holds a unique place as the only major UK event to champion all aspects of geek culture, giving fans the chance to meet hundreds of comics artists and writers; get sneak peeks of the newest films and sci-fi shows; play and preview video games from the top publishers and discover the worlds of anime, manga and cosplay. The Comic Village takes over 2000 sqm hosting talent from Marvel, DC, Avatar, Image and IDW.
UK Publisher Penguin will be giving away 1000’s of 64 page 2011 preview books at MCM Events with extracts from there hottest titles for 2011.
Looks really good and cant wait to go.
Planning on b*ying a ticket on the day but not sure if there is a link where you get passes for free?

MCM is not really good, and if you b*y on the day you will be waiting for hours, even people who b*y in advance can end up waiting for hours. It's really quite a small traders show with some expensive autographs with more time spent waiting, the cosplay is good if you're into that sort of thing, and there are some small and indie peeps there selling their wares so you can meet a lot of artists and stuff. Anime has pretty much taken over the show for several years now.
Of course they may be better this year...
Other than knowing people working there or running a stall I don't know of any way to go in for free.

the way to get in free is walk in amidst a group of youngsters. done it twice in 2010, but after the queues die down after 2pm.
You'll look like the parent if you are old enough.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
