Mr Popper's Penguins

#1 Post by mattymc13 » Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:13 pm

Mr. Popper's Penguins is an upcoming live action comedy film starring Jim Carrey, based on the children's book of the same name. The film was originally slated for a release on August 5, 2011, but was pushed up to June 17, 2011.

Jim Carrey is Mr. Popper, a driven businessman who is clueless when it comes to the important things in life—until he inherits six penguins. Popper's penguins turn his swank New York apartment into a snowy winter wonderland—and the rest of his life upside-down. Filmed on a refrigerated soundstage with real Gentoo Penguins, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" is a contemporary adaptation of the classic book.

Caught the trailer for this earlier at the glorious Barnet Odeon. It looks reasonable. I like the book, but if I had a pound for everytime I have said that and the film has turned out to be a total shambles, I would be getting quite rich by now.

Dimensions have joined forces with ODEON to host an autism friendly screening of new release, Mr Popper’s Penguins, in cinemas across the country.

They want as many people as possible to go along so that they can make film screenings aimed at people with autism or learning disabilities a regular event.

When’s the film on?
The screenings are at 11am on Thursday 11th August.

I've never been to a newspaper one yet so no idea if they ask to see it  but I think I'll get the paper today and have it with me just to be safe.

Don't think so. Just think, this might not be the only code and the next one might be from a different source altogether. They just try to scare you into spending money, that's all.
