Does anyone know the name of this film

#1 Post by marjoreemarjora » Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:05 pm

Here I go again.

Was out with friends tonight and we were talking about 3D films

One of my friend's kept talking about a film that she can't remember the name of

late 50's early 60's murder film

murderer covers bodies in wax and someone sticks a pin in waxwork and blood comes out ( cos there is a person underneath) mudererer sees this and the person that saw this is in danger

does anyone know the name of the film

sorry bit vague but red medicine sometimes does not make things very clear :bwl: :bwl:

Sounds like it could be House of Wax (although it's early 50's). Directed by Andre de Toth who only had one eye so couldn't appreciate the 3D of his own film.

Yes, sounds like House of Wax with Vincent Price as the mad curator of the wax museum. Early 50s and re-released sometime in the 80s.

I'm sure there was a promotion years ago where this movie was shown and you were given cardboard rimmed, coloured sweet wrappers to watch the film through and believe me, it did not quite live up to it's super trailer advertisement.
However, being a Price fan and a mad horror film follower meant that I liked it anyway o/

I was really excited when I heard that there was a re-make of this film but anyone who has seen the remake will know just how disappointed I felt after watching it.

Just had a weird flashback... I can remember trying to look though different coloured sweet wrappers thinking that I would be able to view things in 3D :rofl2: In my defence though, I was only a child.

Perfect yes that's it. Will phone her tonight and tell her. Through the haze of the red medicine recollect her talking about the cardboard rimmed glasses

Well done guys o/
