Re: no more going on the internet for me at work
I feel your pain! I can't access FMUK or any other film-related sites at work at all anymore (plus a lot of other stuff), but I can still get to my emails. It it is completely unfair to firewall everything on the net, why don't they at least let you on during your lunchbreak? It wouldn't harm then and it would boost morale in the company. That's what a lot of companies don't understand, it's not just about working like a slave for hours on end and making money for them - workers would like to be treated nicely as well and have some time to do private things! I am not talking about doing nothing else, but show me the company that went under because everyone surfed the internet - it doesn't exist!

We're not allowed to go any sites, unless it's for work and they do check, can't even check my email but i think this is because alot people i work with have taken the pee and are on the internet all the time which resulted in people who do work hard to suffer....oh well what can we do ay?

ahhh welcome to my world
I've never been allowed to have internet access and i guess there's plenty of people who's work environment means they don't use a computer at all. i'm sure you'll still be fine for getting tickets though, spesh now people know your situation.

Thanks guy
I feel that alot of companies are just all about the money and targets, it's rare to find a company that actually care about their employees and not just about money. I know if a difficult time for everyone with the bad economy now with all the recessions and i should be greatful i still have a job (and i am) but even so everyone needs a release from their stressfull jobs once in a while and the net was our only release of pressure. Now they have taken that away from us everyone is walking round stressed and feeling the pressure, i really hope things will get better soon, but think i'll survive as long as i stay positive and keep my head down at work
