Famous Films You've Never Seen
Earlier today I confessed to not having seen "Breakfast At Tiffany's" but to thinking perhaps I should try to catch up. I also mentioned "The Shawshank Redemption" and the fact that it's currently being staged in London. So, another confession: I haven't seen that film, either - though I did get the free DVD with the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago, so I plan to make amends. Which well-known film(s), which everyone assumes you know, have you missed?

I have never seen either of those two. And yes, I also have a copy of the Shawshank Redemption' free DVD languishing on top of the TV. Along side it is a copy of 'Withnail and I' that I also have never got round to seeing.

Which reminds me (as the DVD is free with "The Observer" next Sunday) that I haven't seen the film version of "Abigail's Party" either - but I did see the stage version at least once.

I've never seen any James Bond films. Or Star Wars. Or The Matrix films. (I may add to this later...)

The godfather. Started it once fairly late in the evening and it put me to sleep. Still haven't given it another go even though I have the godfather boxset.

I would have to add a few to my list if I counted the films I had theoretically seen but during which I had dozed off... though in some cases it was no great loss.

My colleagues often tease me for not having seen some big films. I also haven't seen Breakfast at Tiffany's, nor the Shawshank Redemption. I've hardly seen any James Bond films or the Godfather. I've only recently seen Dirty Dancing for the first time!

Same here! (I watched one James Bond film but I forgot what it's called! Lol).mattgad wrote:I've never seen any James Bond films. Or Star Wars. Or The Matrix films. (I may add to this later...)
I've not watched Star Trek either, not even the free screening. Or Spiderman (any of them!).
I will definitely be adding lots to this thread!

Re: Famous Films You've Never Seen
Schindlers List is probably the most famous I havent seen but it terrifies me when I contemplate to watch it. Everyone I know who has seen it looked seriously disturbed by it and depressed! Thats what terrifies me, I dont want to be depressed at the end! I can watch horror films and Spielberg's other war epic Saving Private Ryan was brilliant but Schindlers List seems to be a film that I have to be mentally prepared to digest. I hope one day I have the courage to watch it as Spielberg is a magnificent director and Liam Neeson is always a great presence.
