#1 Post by r33ceh » Sun Dec 16, 2012 9:24 pm

Kids and tablet pcs.
I have a choice if getting a 9" tablet with 1gb ram or 2x 7" tablets with 512mb
Ram for an extra £20.
So considering i have 4 kids. Would you opt for slower tablets and Less arguing,
Or a better tablet?

Depends on their ages. I have 4 kids too. They were happy to share and take turns when they were younger, but now they're more reluctant!! I'd opt for slower tablets. Less arguing wins my vote any time!!! (And be warned .... they WILL each want their own one eventually...!!!)

At least you'll only have to b*y the one!!! Mine are at that age now though, where they're able to earn money to b*y all the latest stuff they 'need' ... We b*y them what they genuinely do need, obvo treat them at birthdays and christmas, but inbetween times when they 'have to have' whatever, they can save up themselves!!

ages 3, 6, 10 + 14, and even the 3yo is constantly asking to play on my phone, so she knows how to use a touch screen.

next question for people who own one, is 7" big enough? do you find its a struggle to view websites, and films?

In this instance, I'd be inclined to let the two youngest share one and the two eldest share the other. Possibly let the eldest have one all to her(?)self if it could help with school work.
