WHY??????????

#1 Post by MariaLionza » Tue Oct 06, 2009 10:48 pm

I was summon by a company called The Mind Lab, they offered me £100 if I let them put me electrodes on my head so they could measure the ammount of electricity my body produces while I'm shopping. So I did. After only 20 minutes they were more than satisfied and the experiment was over, so I was left with £100 in my pocket to b*y whatever I wanted, which I did. The thing is we started at about 9:00 am and by 10:00 am everything was more than done, but me with a great need for comfy shoes and trying and rejecting I stayed until 4:00pm. I left because I had to meet Beate for Up.
Daily I have breakfast at 7:00 am and daily by 11:00 my stomach reminds me it is alive, today 4:00 of the clock and still undecided if I should have stayed or I should have been gone had no recollection of my tummy. Why?
If I have to be honest I don't care why...
I JUST WANT ANOTHER £100 8O

I don't like the idea of having electrodes on my head... especially after watching Fringe! :noo:

I'm used to them, I 'm epileptic and I've had then many times. The real problem is the gel it makes your scalp a bit itchy. But for the rest it's ok. o/

You're lucky it was only gel. My OH acted as a guinea pig for some research being done at Great Ormond St.
Someone came to our house and attached all kinds of electrodes to him to study his heart and brain activity at night. The ones on his head were attached with a kind of superglue type stuff that needed another special liquid to remove them the next day.

I wish someone would recruit me for such lucrative and non-invasive research! Until I read this, I thought I did quite well for finding money on the ground when out walking, but it has never been that much.

So weird I haven't heard from this friend for about 1 year and now he sends me this talk:
"Hello my Friend
Hope this note finds you well. I'm doing a talk next week and I thought you might like to come. Here are the details...

Presentation of a Fractal Brain Theory, Part #1 of 3
15th October, 2009, Thursday @ 6pm
Middlesex Uni, Archway Campus
Furnival Building, Room 639
Admission: Free

Public Speaker and Independent Brain Researcher Wai Tsang will be
presenting a Unified Theory of Mind, Brain and Consciousness. Some
neuroscientists say that a definitive theory of the brain and mind may
be 50 to 100 years in the future. In this truly stunning presentation
it will be shown that a complete theory of Brain and Mind is with us
today. Furthermore the puzzle of Consciousness will be clarified and
it will be shown that Philosophers and Scientists involved in trying
to solve the puzzle of Consciousness, haven’t been able to find the
right answers, because they’ve been asking the wrong questions. In
that Consciousness doesn’t reduce to the brain but rather the brain
and physical reality reduces to the One Consciousness. This incredible
speaker needs to be heard.

The presentation of the Brain Theory is in 3 parts. This talk on
the 15th OCT is Part 1, with Part 2 to follow on the 5th NOV, a few
weeks later. This first talk was also present several times earlier
this year on the 22nd MAR, 30th APR and the 3rd of MAY.

In Part 1, I show how the brain is a Fractal computing
Architecture and will go through a lot of cutting edge neuroscience to
show the Fractal(Or Self Similar) Structure of Brain organization.
Also I present a powerful formalism or descriptive language for
representing this Fractal structure and the relationships between the
physical components of the Brain. The extensive use of diagrams makes
the ideas presented in this talk very accessible. I'll also be talking about
the Mystery of Consciousness and show how Physical Reality reduces
to Consciousness instead of the other way round as it's commonly
believed."
