The Box

#1 Post by a_person » Mon Aug 31, 2009 5:14 pm

Norma and Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child, receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences. A mysterious stranger, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world; someone they don't know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their possession, Norma and Arthur find themselves in the cross-hairs of a startling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

Richard Kelly is always good, though Cameron Diaz spoilt the film at the Comic-Con Q&A in July...

I'm sure I posted this before or saw a post for it before but I did a search for this and it didn't come up so don't shoot me if it's already posted. :p No suitable matches were found.

Yeah i saw a feature for this in Empire a few months back, looked intriguing, reminiscient of a Twighlight Zone episode, so definately one to watch out for when it comes out in a few months time

Don't think it looks too bad, its interesting to see Cameron Diaz in a different sort of role- horror/thriller

Yeh I think the story line looks good. I think it's based on a book. I can't remember where I read that.
