Bad Grandpa
Saw this tonight at the Covent Garden Odeon. Lovely screening, free popcorn, free drinks and sweets and an appearance by the cast of the film afterwards.
The film is also absolutely hilarious - much funnier that I was expecting.

Was anyone else there?

Re: Bad Grandpa
Glad to hear a positive review. Was slightly worried when first announced, as I didn't think the sketches were funny enough to hold up for a feature length movie, but the borat semi-story structure seems a good fit and I found the trailer absolutely hilarious.

Re: Bad Grandpa
I went to see this last night (thanks again funthing29 for the tickets)
Firstly free pizza beer and wine. Woo who
The film took me little time to get used to, but different having real people reactions for what they are doing but once I did. It was really really funny
I had tears rolling down my face at a few centre parts.
especially the scene in the restaurant and the strip club
They young boy was superb ! Such a great actor for so young . They must of had ear piece on him as lines were so quick to respond to people. And how good to keep a straight face when making these comments to people
8/10
And would see again but doubt would be as fun

Re: Bad Grandpa
Saw it today at 12..
Not as good as the last jackass film
The funny parts had me in tears but there wasn't much of that, mostly boring jokes

Re: Bad Grandpa
I thought it was good, for a free movie. It had a lot of moments which i was laughing really hard.
However, if this makes sense, i dont think it raised the game enough to have been worth releasing in the cinema. Judging from the scenes during the credits this could easily have been more like series for MTV. As such, we could have had scenes not cut short and the numerous scenes which never made the cut of the film. I guess they will form part of the DVD/Blu release, but hey oh.
The young boy in this was hilarious. The pageant scene at the end... LOL!

Re: Bad Grandpa
Saw this at 12 noon in Paisley. First 6 rows in cinema closed off due to flooding so they squashed everyone into the other rows so no empty seats. Security present throughout film and warnings given before film.
The film was pretty much as expected . . .a flimsy store linking all the individual scenes where members of the public were unaware of filming. One or 2 scenes were excellent
the kiddie ride coming through the window
I find some of the scenes a little crude but funny enough.
The little boy was excellent as the grandson but as a parent and grandparent I was a little concerned about his exposure to some of the language, gestures and even the scenes.
The film is a 15 which is definitely the lowest it could be. It's definitely not for younger kids.
Itself not a great film . . . it's more like a series of episodes strung together.
Mark 6/10 for the few good scenes but not really for the film as a whole.
