Glasgow helicopter crash -

#1 Post by The Sparrow » Sun Dec 01, 2013 12:53 am

I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers for anyone who has been personally affected by the Glasgow Helicopter Crash.

To those who have lost friends, family or acquaintances or know someone who has been injured may it help to know that not only Glaswegians are thinking of you but people wide and far have you in their hearts at this difficult time.

For those who are worried about a missing person, stay strong. People have been found alive in other disasters and I truly hope your loved one is found safe and sound very soon.

I know that at least one FMUK member is waiting for news of a trapped loved one in this tragic event. It is not for me to name them but I'd like to say that our thoughts are with you and your family at this painfully difficult time and I can only hope and wish that they are found safe and well very soon. Could not have expressed this better, The Sparrow.

How awful for everyone concerned in this tragedy but hope that who ever the FMUK member is knows we are all thinking of them and hope that their loved one is found safe.

I must say that I have been moved by the way that everyone had joined together to form a human chain to get people out of the building and some had risked their own lives by going into the building to rescue others. A strong community spirit will help them cope.

Thoughts and love to everyone still waiting on news, families are still waiting for official word. Please disregard the press for a lot of sensational stories, my old Group Commander is a very quiet and private man but is splashed all over the papers because his SIL was in the helicopter. Families should be allowed to take stock not have to deal with shonky journalism.

My thoughts and prayers with all those affected.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

It really annoys me when the press ask 'how are you/the community feeling?'. I find it a dumb question.

According to the Skynews twitter feed all remaining casualties have now been named. Our deepest condolences go to the FMUKers who lost a loved one. We're thinking of you.
