The Wolf Of Wall Street
Can't wait to see this next month especially as reviews so far seem pretty positive.
Word of warning though, there's apparently a fair amount of explicit material in this film so those that were offended by likes of 'Filth' earlier this year may need to lower their expectations...

Re: The Wolf Of Wall Street
Dying to see this. Seriously can't wait. There needs to be multiple screenings. I'd travel so far for this.
RAZORBACK is right though. The reason they delayed release is because the film was given an NC-17 rating in America and had to be recut for an R. Which, knowing Scorsese and given my intense love of Leonardo DiCaprio only makes me want to see it more. Release cannot come soon enough!

Re: The Wolf Of Wall Street
Just saw it in France where it was released for Xmas : pretty good, overly exaggerated about the world of finance in my opinion though, you dont see the 3 hours going and Scorsese managed to transform a movie about Wall St into a Gangster movie
9/10

Seriously can't wait to see this. Definitely looks like it will be over the top but I'm sure it will be very enjoyable

Re: The Wolf Of Wall Street
Scorsese said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (alongside DiCaprio) that the original cut of this film was four hours in length. Let's hope that's included with the Blu-Ray release (or even 4K Netflix which should be announced fully at CES).
Re: The Wolf Of Wall Street
I have been looking forward to this as well and caught it in France.
For me I was disappointed. Its too long at 3 hours, and consisted of Sex..Drugs...Sex..Drugs. Which isn't normally a bad thing if there was more to be involved with. It very quickly ran out of steam, and wasn't as funny and clever as it thought it was. It was certainly made with a lot of enthusiasm though.
It looks like this is really going to divide opinion, as shown by the awards nominations but terrible cinemascore in the US.

Re: The Wolf Of Wall Street
Caught this in the US.
Beware, it is 3 hours long and that much debauchery for that long does tire a bit.
Unbelievably, it is based on a true story but even with cuts it is pretty much 3 hours of sex and drugs and lies so if you are in anyway of a delicate sensibility I'd not recommend it. According to US telly I saw this contains over 500 uses of the f-word which is a new record!
Di Caprio is good as is Jonah Hill in a supporting role.
I just thought 3 hours was pushing it!
7/10 from me.

Hilarious....
hilariously offensive, crazy, boiler room broking at it's best...the chest thumping chant that Mark Hanna teaches Jordan is still with me lol
This is a link to the real Jordan Belfort - 'the Wolf'. It's probably best not to look at this link 'til you've seen the movie...he's a little disappointing...for me anyway.
