On the eve of Halloween, in a secret location, we are hosting the screening of a horror classic. We are giving away 130 pairs of tickets, but theres a catch. You have to figure out where to collect them. Each day this week will post clues and a new ...chapter of the story. Those who guess the clues will have the best chance of finding the tickets. But be warned, this is only for brave souls.

Mondays Clue

Spiritualist Digby Knottisford’s Ouija board has spoken.

The word ‘Carrots’ has been spelt out, and a warning has been given to all those attending the Orange Cinema screening: “Beth is walking.”

A restless spirit is in need of our help to reach the other side. Will you help to find her and release her from her torment?

“I long to lie in the Magnificent Seventh. Lie with my brother, together again at last. Come to me and lay me to rest.”

You are looking for a graveyard.
So firstly its one of these graveyards so must be a London screening
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnificent_Seven,_London

I assume its tower hamlets as digby and knottisford street are two joining streets fairly nearby - had a look on google street and there is some building where the streets join that i cant figure out what it is but maybe you need to collect tix from it? or maybe from the cemetry park office? http://www.towerhamletscemetery.org/contacts.html

im guessing carrots and beth are to do with the film but im not too good on horrors?

anyone got any more ideas?

Be first to answer today’s clue in our Night of Fright story and score free tickets to our secret horror screening. “In Bedlam – the old Bedlam - I tracked down my mother and had my revenge. I was sixteen but still strong enough to shove her onto t...he tracks as the train came in at Bishop’s Gate.” - You are looking for a place to start your journey towards one of the Magnificent Seven cemeteries.Read more

Orange have been in touch with us to make sure that we let you know about a great Halloween 4d cinema experience. They’re going to put on a movie (we don’t know what movie yet but apparently it’s a good one!) and add sensory twists by providing the audience with state-of-the-art wireless headphones, as well as special effects during the screening including fog and wind. When combined with the eerie location, movie lovers will be treated to an immersive viewing experience like no other.

The screening will take place on 30th October in an inspired location in London. The film and location will be gradually revealed through a series of chilling clues left on the Orange Film Club. Fans are invited to solve the mystery and apply for free tickets to this spine tingling event.

Empire magazine’s horror expert, Kim Newman, will introduce the film and audiences will also be shown an exclusive preview clip of Case 39, starring Renée Zellweger due for release in March 2010.

Tickets are free but will only be available through the Orange Film Club. Follow the link for more details.

We're getting closer now, be first to answer today’s clue in our Night of Fright story and win free tickets to our secret horror screening. “From my room I could watch over him and sing him the “Gay go up and gay go down” song with my Saint there e in the first line.” You are looking for a hospital near Mile End tube station
The whole thing indicates someone whose in a mental hospital so I would have automatically assumed St. Clement's Hospital but that is now closed.... Then again they don't mention it has to be opened.

Most of the clues are directing towards the East of London, specifically Tower Hamlets... Liverpool Street is very close to Tower Hamlets, the first clue was the cemetry in Mile End, followed by Liverpool Street then yesterday's Mile End Station.... If this is to be held in a secret location, I wonder if it's a cinema or not. If it's a cinema in Tower Hamlets, the only three I know of are: Cineworld West India Quay, Rich Mix in Bethnal Green and grotty Genesis in Mile End!!!!

The Genesis isn't that grotty! well I haven't been there for a while, but I went when it first opened and it as quite nice. I also went earlier this year for the Slumdog preview. This mystery screening sounds fun, but I might have to work that day...

No it's not, it's Stepney Green Station that's closer.

Apparently the answer is: ‘Gay go up and gay go down’ is the first line of what we know now as ‘Oranges & Lemons’

Bow Institution became St Clement’s psychiatric hospital in 1936

Very misleading... I would have thought the answer was St. Clement's.

I thought it was St Clements too - is it not the same thing, only change of name in 1936 from Bow Institution??

Is that where the screening/collection will be?? Am getting very confused with these clues!! :wall:

It can't be there because St. Clement's closed down a little while ago and moved to Mile End Hospital. Just reread the whole thing and it says a "Central London Location." The clues for Mile End/the graveyard and Bow Institution are all in Tower Hamlets which is classified as East London. The only clue that was of a Central London location (or could be considered East Central) is Liverpool Street. I can't figure it out though!
