#1 Post by jpeg » Fri Nov 06, 2009 9:31 am

Channel 4 invites you to stick on your 3D specs and celebrate 3D! Watch astonishing unseen footage of The Queen during her Coronation year, Derren Brown's 3D Magic Spectacular with some of the world's greatest and most shocking magic performances, and a whole heap of 3D films. Get your glasses and get involved!

You can pick up your free 3d glasses from Sainsburys! : http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/instoreoff ... lasses.htm

Anyone planning on watching anything?

Sounds like good fun. I have Shrek 3D and Spy Kids 3 DVDs and are great fun to watch with really effective 3d effects. I'm guessing that the glasses will be the old traditional red/green type?

I think they are supposed to be the green/red type. Going to Sainsburys later to pick up a yummy chocolate cake so will see if I can get some then! :D

Not personally got a pair but on another forum someone said they are not the ones you get at the cinema or the red green/blue ones so you can't use a pair you already have. This person may be wrong though. Its worth picking up a pair if you have a near by Sainsbury's i mean the glasses are free.

Just collected a few pairs from Sainsbury's - they're a nice blue on the right lens and a not-quite-so-nice brown on the left! 8-)
I once went hiking with M. C. Escher. It was uphill all the way there and uphill all the way back.

As a note the Sainsubrys Centrals also have them so if you don't want to deal with the crowds at the main supermarkets it may be worth a visit to the smaller ones.
