Cinema Passes

#1 Post by SayWhat » Mon Apr 27, 2015 1:42 pm

Has anyone won a cinema pass and or use cinema passes?

I was thinking of getting a pass. I would like to know which cinema offer the best deal for passes and how they work, I mean is there a limit to how many movies one can watch in a week and so on.

Cineworld Unlimited membership is a good deal if your cinema shows many of the new releases and if you like to watch all genre.

I can't think of any other deals like this.

Picturehouse offer 4 free tickets on their membership.

I don't think many of the cinema chains actually do passes. In my area, the only option is Cineworld. It does seem a good deal if you go at least twice in the month.
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Yeah, only Cineworld does the watch all you want film buffet style passes and I have really enjoyed it for the past two years. Last year I saw 80 films with it. This year so far, I seen 25 but slowing down during the summer due to my additional summer job in the evenings.

Its fantastic value in my opinion as my personal average works out to be about £3 per movie. Also, you get 25% off all foyer purchases from second year onwards. First year is 10% off.

However, I still end up p*ying for other movies on top of that because I like many independent small movies that sometimes dont get shown at Cineworld. A recent example was Predestination, which I had to p*y and see at a picturehouse cinema (I love picturehouses, though!). So keep in mind that some smaller indie films will be overlooked by Cineworld.

Also some companies have special deals with various companies where you also get a discount. My company used to have one of these deals and I got my card £73 cheaper 8O Sadly our company doesn't participate in these rewards schemes any more. Cineworld also do special members screenings quite often x
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

I'd never really need them since I get more than I can ever see, but I concede that with the way cinema prices have been heading, they are now not a bad deal if you aren't in a catchment area for free movies or really need to see loads of movies.

Thanks for all your responses.

I am surprised that Cineworld are the only chain that does a pass, I always assumed that all the major cinema chains do them.

Interesting!!! I was a bit surprised other chains have never offered something similar to the cineworld unlimited card. (Showcase offer them as prizes for comps though).

The cheapest I have been able to get it is £144 with a month free using a referral code for the extra month.
