I'd say I hate about 10 to 20 of the things mentioned. The weather???? No way, it goes well with Christmas. If it were hot and sunny, it just wouldn't be Christmas. When I was young I used to think that snow was reserved only for Christmas day. I used to wake up so early just to see if it happened. For some years there was snow on Christmas Day!

I hate hangovers, drunks, traffics and queues but not just at Christmas!!! Bloody everyday more like!!!

I hate brussel sprouts every second. I still can remember how my Mum forced it down my throat when I was young. Never again. :nono:

They were rare occasions but it did happen. Normally used to see it on Boxing Day....

Back then it didn't snow as much as it did now.. Snow use to be gone by mid afternoon! :( Now it turns into ice and makes driving a nightmare.

Hang on, working over Xmas (and New Year, come to that) is the BEST thing about it - for me, at least. I appreciate that it doesn't suit everyone but if you do dislike, or get fed up with Xmas, it's one sure way to get through it - it's over before you know.

Bah humbug!

Half of those things happen all through the year (avoiding puke on the street anyone?! Ugh!)! The only way to reamin sane is to embrace it - go full throttle and it'll be over before you know it.

Sprouts aren't so bad. Try this: Shred them, stir fry with some garlic, soy sauce and season. Easy and tasty (might not go with turkey though). They're only no good if you over boil (try steaming instead and they'll retain some bite) and under seasoned. Nothing like mash, sprouts and gravy!

I LOOOOOOVE presents. How can you not?! If you don't like it, exchange it or ask for vouchers. Easier for everyone!

Preferred cinemas: Most Central London, Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage, Islington, Holloway and West India Quay, Greenwich (O2 / Odeon only) or Stratford City if there is nothing else!

Seen free in 2012: Jan: Margin Call; J. Edgar; Like Crazy; Carnage; Young Adult. Feb: The Muppets; The Best Extotic Marigold Hotel; Safe House; Project X; Beginners. March: 21 Jump Street; We b*ght a Zoo; Wild Bill; John Carter; Wanderlust; Street Dance 2;The Hunger Games; [The King's Speech]. Apr: The Hunger Games; Battleship; Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. May: What To Expect When You're Expecting; MIB3. June: [We Will Rock You] July: Ted; Seeking a Friend for the End of the World; The Dark Knight Rises; Brave. Aug: The Bourne Legacy. Sept: Lawless

And you get double p*y, well I hope you do ;)

I would add the following to the list:

52: Strangers shouting out "Merry Xmas!" to you on the street.
53: An overwhelming feeling of nauseating schmaltz
54: The Wizard of Oz

Yes I agree alot of those things happen all year but not in one go. The mayhem people go mad, and the season of good will is lost in a shopping frenzy and binge drinking. You can feel the stress ouzing from people trying to do it all ...

Working is a good escape but I have yet to find a truley Christmas free haven, even in my own home the TV gives the game away...

Holiday in a non-Christian country? Although you'd have to go from about August to at least January...
