A Bit Of Tom Jones
Can't find any previous mention of this film, of which I hadn't heard until today. According to my source (an article in The Guardian), this is a low-budget first feature from writer/director Peter Watkins-Hughes and is currently "doing good business at large screens in multiplexes" in South Wales. Sounds entertaining, if apparently "bawdy", so let's hope it gets a wider release.

Re: A Bit Of Tom Jones
Low budget Tom Jones farce a shock cinema hit!
A low budget farce about Tom Jones' manhood is outperforming some of Hollywood's biggest films in Welsh cinemas.
Costing just £100,000 to make, A Bit of Tom Jones? has sold more tickets than Michael Jackson's This Is It and The Fourth Kind at some cinemas in South Wales. Merthyr Tydfil's Vue multiplex cinema has had to drag in extra beanbags to make sure people get to see the film.
The film's director Peter Watkins-Hughes, a former BBC producer, said, "We're killing The Fourth Kind, we're killing Harry Brown and that's got Michael Caine in it.
"I think it's just extraordinary."
Manager of Brynmawr's Market Hall cinema, Bernie Snowball, said, "I'm not surprised the film is doing well. It's a laugh-out-loud comedy, with the added bonus of being set in Wales. It's a mad thing they've done, but a brilliant one."
A Bit of Tom Jones? tells the farcical story of group of people trying to sell Tom Jones' severed manhood. Vue cinemas are giving serious consideration to a wider release for the film in the rest of the UK.
