Santa Buddies

Wow, that was fab. The Odeon Covent Garden had refreshments laid on (Turkey and Cranberry parcels, sausages and plenty of juices and hot chocolate), and they had 5 Golden Retriever puppies which you could stroke. The OH was in his element. I got pictures of him and the puppies, then Christopher Lloyd (of Doc Brown in Back to the Future fame) turned up, so I got plenty of pics with him and the puppies as well. He later said a few words introducing the film then sat down in a middle row. It is a shame though the cinema wasn't entirely full, we sat in the last row with no one around us!

It's official - I am a sucker for slushy kiddy films with cute dogs in them. We loved the film, and the fact that they handed out goodie bags at the end with a Santa Buddies activity booklet, a candy stick and a Snow Buddies DVD in it! We hung around a bit to see whether we could corner Christopher Lloyd but we didn't see him again so we went home in the pouring rain.

8.5/10 for the whole experience! o/

So pleased to read you have had a lovely time, Beate. There's no harm at all in being a sucker for oversentimal kiddy films with cute dogs in them. And you've got a DVD as well! :D

I havent seen Christopher Lloyd in anything for ages, last film I saw him in was Denis (with Walter Mathauw). But man, did I worship the guy, he was the definitive nutty professor. Dug him as a bad guy in Who Frames Roger Rabbit, and he was hilarious in Taxi series.

What kind of role did he play in this, normal, weird, baddie?

Sounds like you had fun beate, although it's not my fav genre, I do like these types of screenings when they make an extra effort for those attending with special events, special guests!
