Had to exchange ticket code with tickets which was assigned seating, aargh! There were about 20 people in the whole Screen 5, and so decided to sit where we wanted, and move if needs be. Typical, out of the whole screening room, we sat in the one seat that was assigned to someone else.
A surprisingly delightful, but heartbreaking story of two brothers, neighbours, but estranged all their lives, and finally having to deal with their strained relationship, due to their entire valleys' flock having to be slaughtered because of scrapies. The first half an hour is quite hard going, but eventually you warm to their characters and by the end you are routing for them. The Icelandic scenery is stunning and some lovely touches of humour breaks up the harshness of their livelihood and the melancholy of the story. They use a sheep dog to deliver notes to each other, and in one scene the drunken brother is dumped at the local A&E in the bucket of a digger by the other brother. 8/10
