Collateral Beauty

#1 Post by prettyxcool » Thu Dec 22, 2016 12:44 am

Went to premiere at Vue Leicester Square, thanks to missgotty.

This was, sadly, a bit disappointing with so many great A stars. It's very formulaic and slow. As usual Helen Mirren shone as always. But Will Smith, he's not there, the one I enjoy watching. I liked Time though, played by Jacob Lattimore who we saw on the red carpet.

Quite good turn out of stars, Death was there in the shape of Helen Mirren. But two stars missing, Love, Keira Knightley, did not turn up though, or Kate Winslet. Will Smith was there being his usual entertaining self, but premiere was a bit disappointing too, as we only saw them doing the intro from outside, on the big screen.

5/5

Here's a group photo from the screen! :shifty:

saw this last night at westfield (with the typical crap audience of talking, feet on seats, banging floor with feet, kids at a film that finishes at ten to midnight...)
and as good as helen mirren is, this film is a joke, and i mean a joke like xanadu is.

watch "the accountant" instead :P

or "a monster calls"

I saw this when I attended the film premiere in Leicester Square. Sadly it was disappointing. You could see they were going for the Christmas tearjerker with the (not surprised) surprise ending, but it didn't work out despite the well known actor's involved. Helen Mirren's accent annoyingly kept jumping from American to British, I'm still not sure what nationality she was supposed to be. The only actors that stood out for me were Naomie Harris and the young actor Jacob Latimore who came across very well spoken and intelligently on the red carpet when asked questions and very strong as an actor in the film. Overall this film just didn't go anyway interesting.

Best comedy of the year! Had me laughing the whole way through... It was so awful I couldn't stop.

a nice idea but its executed wrong in several places. If this had been made by the Germans I reckon this would have been a stomper, because you can see how the decent ideas would have been fleshed out instead of being hammed to death by Hollywood and its nonsense endings and dialogue.

It does pull the hard strings as much as it frustrates though.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
