Remember Me

#1 Post by hdaniel82 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 9:49 am

In the romantic drama Remember Me, Robert Pattinson plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family. Tyler didn't think anyone could possibly understand what he was going through until the day he met Ally (Emilie de Ravin) through an unusual twist of fate. Love was the last thing on his mind, but as her spirit unexpectedly heals and inspires him, he begins to fall for her. Through their love, he begins to find happiness and meaning in his life. Soon, hidden secrets are revealed, tragedy lingers in the air, as the circumstances that brought them together threaten to tear them apart. Set in the summer of 2001, Remember Me is a story about the power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living passionately and treasuring every day of one's life.

I saw this last night at the premiere, thanks to Marialionza's generosity in giving me tickets. And.....it was great!! At times Robert Pattinson's brooding darkness was a little much, but he played the role of a troubled twenty-something very well. And I really liked Emilie de Ravin too, its the first time I've seen her in a movie, and she's a great actress. A bittersweet tale tinged with tragedy, with uplifting moments too.

8/10

I saw this on Friday night, I thought it was really good, I liked the story, its different to anything I've seen recently. It also proved that there's more to Robert Pattinson than Edward Cullen. I thought Pierce Brosnan had a dodgy accent. I was surprised when quite a few people left before the end!! 9/10.
But I thought the end was really sad and made me want to cry, although I did manage to stop myself(just). I did not see the end coming
