Storm
Kerry Fox stars as Hannah Maynard, a prosecutor at the tribunal in The Hague, leading a trial into war crimes. This film isn't being released until Spring 2010, but I am going to see it soon at the Curzon Soho's annual German Film Festival. So far there is only one (favourable) review on IMDB, which makes it sound like an interesting, character-driven film. Kerry Fox certainly seems to do a wide range of impressive work - I have only just seen her in Bright Star, but in this she plays the lead, not merely a supporting role.

Re: Storm
I saw this at the German Film Festival this evening, so the film was introduced by the producer, who was accompanied by two of the female cast: the lead, Kerry Fox, who couldn't stay, and Alexis Zegerman, who did stay for the Q & A with the producer afterwards. Although the subject matter (a war crimes trial) was serious, the plot was very character-driven and riveting, so the film didn't seem too long or worthy and was well-received. It was interesting to see Kerry Fox being able to use her native accent for once, and some of you will know Alexis Zegerman from Happy-Go-Lucky, though I think I've seen her in more plays than films, and she writes, too. I don't suppose, given the material and the largely European cast, that this will get much of a UK release but I can recommend it if it does come round. At least it's mainly in English, so doesn't have to overcome the subtitles hurdle.
Re: Storm
I didn't get any as can't go - even tho I posted - but I was wondering if it may have been a 'unique' code directed at me like they said for Waiting for Godot............ so only one set of tickets available on it???
Preferred cinemas:

Re: Storm
Yes but not everyone receives email notifications for the London board. Every SFF code should be posted on Free Films (unless it's for theatre etc which has its own thread).

Re: Storm
Waiting for Godot code isn't "unique" and neither is this one, but I think they are saying it to scare people away from sharing it.
