got a response however i am still unclear why they haven't upgraded me. My paypal and email are the same and my account is still active

If you have signed up for VIP and payed via PayPal with a different email address to what you registered with SFF, then we need you to send us your Show Film First email account.

If you only have one email address that you used for both, then you need to re-register at http://www.showfilmfirst.com this way we can update your VIP status and start offering tickets to you.

Apologies if you have already received an email like this. If you have already sent your Show Film First email, please ignore.

As soon as we receive your email we can start to act accordingly.

Yeah i got this email twice which I replied to. I then got an email saying my status had been updated - although still not showing on the website I appear to be VIP as have been sent two emails for VIP events

Sorry shouldnt have used the phrase vip events i think they are things doing the rounds anyways got two emails one for some comedy shows in london and one for water for elephants (daily mail promo but with different code). The emails were titled VIP alert/VIP entertainment. I'm assuming that means I'm VIP now. Will update on here if I recieve anything else

Just book in normal way but not sure how VIP they are as didn't have to log in to SFF and it told me the code was valid

not such a great vip service if you only get left overs of things that didn't sell out that you could have booked days before in advance. :/

Early days yet will see what happens when a new film comes out that hasn't had any codes posted and see if i get alerted to that first. If anyone else is thinking of signing up for this VIP service I suggest waiting to see what happens. Judging by what I've read/heard so far I've got pretty low expectations!

Yes I went through all this too, even had to unregister with show film first which I did and signed up again, received a couple of emails telling me I've now been updated but status still shows No. Have emailed them for a refund as fed up, not heard from them...reminds me I'll chase them up!!

I joined, and pa*d, way back in March. Since then, I've heard nothing from them, no offers of VIP codes, though I did get an initial email saying that codes would be sent out starting 14th April. I've emailed them three times now asking what's happening, had no response at all. I'll be getting in touch with Trading Standards about this if they don't reply soon - they've taken money for a membership, promised to deliver something by April, and nearly two months later - nothing. BTW, when you sign up, you are agreeing to p*y them the same amount every year until you actively cancel it. Which I'll be doing very soon ...

Strongly recommend nobody else joins!

I took one for the team and signed up to see what it was all about. YOu seem to get email alerts before the codes do the general rounds. Quite often I think non p*ying people try those codes and are not eligible. Eventually later the codes change and normal membership get them.

However, p*ying the money still doesn't stop you getting your membership terminated on a random basis like everyone else. Luke said to re register and let him know and tell him the film I was after. NO explanation as to why the memberships keep gettin cancelled

CAthyq1, you should try emailing Luke direct. From what we can gather its a very small operation which is strange considering what they do.

So did they give out advanced tickets for the multimedia screenings for Thor or the Hangover II for VIP members?
