The Final Destination

Went to see this last night at the Silvelink.. never seen a cinema so busy.. there were huge queues outside to get tickets which made me happy that I got mine at dinner time.

The cinema for FD was full to the brim... think most people took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer as tickets were pricey for the 3d film. The film was pretty much what I expected although I think the special effects took a dip to make room for the 3D part. Not as much jumps from the 3d scenes as I would have liked. Overall it was not too bad a film and I can now say I have witnessed my first 3d movie. would give it 7/10.

Ohhh great Trailers though.. will start links off for them... SFF we need screenings for Shutter Island and Gamer pretty please!!!!!

The 3D effects are great, but the film itself isn't so good. The storyline and plot is very poor and the acting is even worse. Nothing really different that seperates it from the 2nd or 3rd final destination apart from the 3D.

I think superhero said a while ago that there were going to be screenings for this in October but they've stopped it for some reason and it will be out in 2010. So perhaps there will be a screening then!

Off to see this this afternoon, missed the third film as the 2nd wasn't that great, but at £20 it's a bit steep.

Although I do have a thing for 3d movies, even if the film is rubbish it's still pretty cool to be nearly hit on the head with a spoon or something - lol

But £20 I'll let you know if it's worth it later.

On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O'Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. What they said in the blurb is pretty much what we got. I have never seen the first three films, and didn't realise there were another three ! Persuaded by fun-loving son to stump up for this in 3D , I would tend to agree with elmqueen about the special effects -

This film lived up, down? to my expectations. I am most certainly not a lover of gruesome horror films. (me wearing my 3D glasses - don't have a smiley with hands over eyes as well)

Well... Only Thing That Saved This was the 3d Effects... would probably have tried to hang myself halfway through otherwise!!
