Hilarious. I loved this.

Alan and his Blackberry - he's so like so many people I know at work - fab!

I was slightly disconcerted by Jodie Foster's neck veins at several points and then when her tights changed colour and she swapped shoes for shoe boots, but other than that continuity blip, it was excellent.

I suspect even better on the stage than on film, but nonetheless very good.

I forgot to mention they forgot to start the film in Edinburgh and they only realised when I wandered out to ask why the delay? that's 2 weeks in a row Vue at Omni have made a mess of starting a film!

8/10

Short, sharp and snappy. I think this worked quite well due to the short running time and the calibre of the acting talent. The foursome interacted great together but Waltz was clearly the star here, stealing most of the scenes, sometimes even without dialogue. There were some funny moments but not as much comedy as I was expecting after reading all the positive comments. It was still entertaining and just shows that you don't need special effects, explosions or a heavy score to create a compelling film. 7.5/10.

Ha. I thought I saw you walking out halfway through which surprised me. Lol. So glad you didn't.

I thought this was very contrived. Definitely far more suited to being on stage. I dislike the he said, she said, he said type of dialogue exchanges where no-one talks over anyone nor interupts nor talks simultaneously. I could see the humour but it certainly wasn't laugh out loud funny for me.
Best part was the puke! Spectacular. Lol.
I'm sorry but I seem to be in a minority of one. It didn't really float my boat. I wouldn't p*y to see it, recommend it to anyone nor watch it again if it were on TV.

I quite enjoyed this though I couldn't recall the play that well and thought the ending was rather sudden and inconclusive; it seemed a bit of a cop-out after so many fast-paced and intense scenes, as if the author didn't know how to bring everything to a suitable conclusion so resorted simply to pulling the plug.

An unexpected treat to see tilly again (well, tilly spotted me) as I wasn't expecting any other members to be present. The Croydon preview was quite full for once.

We had a Sky lady collecting printouts but she seemed not to be doing anything extra or special so this function might as well have been carried out by a normal member of cinema staff.

Short and succinct. I did elaborate later on. Haha.
I decided to put foward my initial reaction before reading the general concensus. Didn't want my verdict swayed by what others thought.

Saw this in Islington which was relatively full. We had a Sky lady who was noting the number of people attending per ticket.

I was expecting so much after all the positive reviews, but I was a bit bored at the beginning. The acting was superb, what a fabulous cast! The puke scene made me cringe, as did Jodie Foster and John C Reilly cleaning it up - they didn't seem too fussed about the fact that it was a random person's puke. That in itself would make me puke if I had to clean it up. Anyway... the film only really started for me after John C Reilly
started freaking out about the hamster
. It was a bit forced until then, I felt. From then on, however, it was hilarious.

Perhaps it is better suited to the stage. I'd rather see it on stage.

A disappointing 6/10 from me.

But stuartboy, I was relying on you for another contribution to my "Cutting Comments" thread. Come on, you know you want to say something scathing really!

Oh, forgot to say that two people walked out just before it got good...
