Nice to catch up with Alythonian and Stuartboy in Edinburgh. Was just about to go out and ask what was happenning when you did.

Well we thought it was funny, and know so many phone people!! Have to say when the kids were wee this sort of thing did happen and at the beginning it seemed such a good idea to be sensible and discuss and then everything came out of the woodwork so found it very funny.

So glad I chose this instead of first love.

Thought Jodie Foster was really good and loved the fact that she is so emotional and as for Christopher Waltz think he is so good in character.

7.5/10 from us and would recommend to folks even to p*y

Indeed. Saw this and Like Crazy this week and this one was so much better. Really particularly enjoyed Christoph Waltz, but all 4 were great. The strength was really in the performances and it was very funny!

I gave some friends tickets for this at Islington Vue last night. I'd seen it on Sunday and felt no problem recommending it. This was their first preview and they were very impressed with the film and the fact that it was free. I've had a massive thank you from them so they can stay on my 'pass tickets along to' list.

Remember how pleased/smug we all felt at the beginning of this free film malarky? am still grateful each time I get into a free film but it was nice to hear how tickled two newbies felt!

Here's my review for this: http://londonfilmfanatiq.wordpress.com/ ... w-carnage/

Really, it's nothing important, but it's a lot of devious fun and it's full of really terrific performances. Plus a funny little cameo by the infamous director himself.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

ummm, I wasn't as taken by this as some of you. Yes, some very good performances (haven't seen Jodie Foster on screen in what seems like ages and I do like Waltz) but I got to the point where I stopped caring about the characters, the reason why they had come together and anything that made them stay in the company of each other (maybe that was the whole point, but I wasn't captivated enough to watch their petty little train wreck unravel).

It did have its comedic moments but I just found it quite bland. I wonder if I would have appreciated it a lot more on the stage. Luckily it was not too long. 6/10

I didn't think much of this film, either....I was surprised as I expected it to be funnier than it was, as I've seen posters advertising the film with the phrase "funniest comedy of the year".
