Would still serve the purpose of promotion as you'd still be "TellingTen". Not that I am condoning anything - just playing devil's advocate here (although that is Alythonian's job! Haha)
No it's not because they write off free previews and they are held before they start counting box office takings. And they organize and offer it to you.
If you're going to do it you may as well pop into a shop and walk out with a £7 bottle of wine without p*ying, it's the same thing

obviously I dont aim to put cinema staff out of their jobs either!
There are enough deadhead kids in Kingston dumb enough to p*y inflated prices from their parents wages anyway. I wouldnt steal into another screening ina poorer area.

That's what I'm saying it's not affecting the cinema but it does affect which films get funding.
Back in the days when I had money if I enjoyed a free preview film I'd make sure to go back and p*y to see it again when it was out.

yes, I am quite happy to p*y for a good film, particularly from smaller production companies. Theres a motive then to fund the film makers into making more good films.
Obviously I would feel mortified if I ever had to p*y for a movie as dumb as Safe House. God that was so dumb. I was quite happy to p*y for Cave of Forgotten Dreams though, and would have pa*d for Pina if I had found somewhere screening it!
This is partly a reflection of me being not big socially at the moment. When you are in a group of people going to the cinema you are more likely to plump for something shite without much grumbling.

I would agree that sometimes you go along with a group and see a "turkey" .....at these times, I do wish I could opt out and go and see a film of my choice ..... would I have the courage to leave one screening and go to another . . . probably not!
I think I'd look shifty/guilty and would stand out a mile!
