Sneaking into another screening?

Would you dare to sneak into an alternative film whilst using a free preview ticket?

Yes I would consider it or have done so.

Slightly off topic but the first time I went to the cinema with my cousin as two 12 year olds back in the day we walked into the last 30 minutes of STAR TREK WRATH OF KHAN and then stayed through a further viewing of the same film - all for the price of 1 ticket -- Wouldnt dream of it now..

No, wouldn't do it. I'm usually quite excited to watch a new film as well! So I'be going straight in there!

1) If i had a free ticket, no. Cause normally when i get a free ticket its a film i've wanted to see for a while or really wanting to see. And its not even out in public yet so ofcourse im going to go straight for my screen

2) As a kid, my local Vue (North Finchley) had a huge list of what films were playing in what screens on what times on a massive billboard before you actually enter the parts where you get to the screen (like Screens 1-5 were on the left, and even in the Lobby b*ying popcorn the electronic billboard was on the wall above the entrance to those 5 screens. Same to the 6-10, etc). So it was tremendously easy to sneak into other films as they basically left you blueprints. I think they realised this as when i went back a few years ago they had removed it and you had no clue what film you were going to. So its a BIT more difficult to get around (as i don't see many screens advertise what film they are showing anymore)
Preferred cinemas (in order of choice): Hatfield, Enfield, Lee Valley, Watford, Leicester Square/Central London, Greenwhich or anywhere within the catchment area of those.

I would consider doing it but whether I would have the courage is another matter - and certainly not if Alythonian was watching me. :sofa:

When I was small my mother took me to the cinema and as others have said you went and saw the main film and a B film. At the end of the film at night everyone stood up while they played "God Save the Queen" and no one would even think of leaving until the end of it. Imagine that happening now!!!

I went to the cinema once and the film was so bad half the people walked out, I'd taken the time, petrol and parking cost to turn up so I felt I deserved at least one film for my effort ;)
I could see which film was filling up so went to the loo then straight back into the other screen. I didn't have a clue what film it was... ended up being Iron Man 2!

Pretty much everytime I go to the cinema when I come out I have the urge to just pop into another screen. Especially at my cineworld, because when you're upstairs the corridors where the screens are never seem to have any staff walking around. But I am way to chicken to actually do it. I just don't think it's worth the embarrassment if I was actually caught.

For what it is worth something a friend said to me rings true - the cinema has been pa*d for the hire of the screening room so it really makes no odds where your bum is finally parked - your seat has been pa*d for already. What would be dishonest - and no different to shoplifting say would be actively entering another screen AFTER the preview and thus seeing another film for free.

I have seen people darting to another screen when a film ended!!!

I admit that ONCE I did succomb and followed some people into another screening and saw "Monsters Inc." call it b.o.g.o.f ha aha ha!!

All through the film you wonder though if you would get your collar felt and get booted out!! Not worth the worry!!!!
