Yup, even if they cut out the freebies (popcorn, etc), they'd probably still be vastly out of pocket after investing in multiple scanners...

Oh, popcorn at the virgin screenings is the best bit! Some of the movies they've chosen were not worth coming to, if not for popcorn... Surely they can't take the popcorn away!

Well it's no use to me! I took it anyway, thinking the supply might run out so someone else might like it, but everyone seemed to have their own. Now what do I do with it?

I don't really care about popcorn. I totally forgot to print out a Sky popcorn voucher for the O2 today, as I do just about every time I go there.

Popcorn is never wasted in my family. I have a child who'll munch sweet or salted anytime of the day and in any quantities (but not the toffee one... though I never saw toffee one at virgin screenings yet). When I don't fancy any myself at virgin screenings (and thats quite often) I just take my popcorn with me and usually it disappeares from the kitchen the same evening! even if it's more than 1 bag! So if virgin screening is local and even if I'm not sure about the movie I still go for the popcorn :red: So Long live Virgin screenings with free popcorn! I didn't go to American Pie reunion, as it wasn't local for me, but I hope for the next one!

What I am interested is, is whether it it is actually Virgin who has asked this knowing that if you contact Virgin Media they know nothing about it or SFF who are showing the films on behalf of Virgin and why?

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

Probably too many people trying to sneak in with photocopies. Will that mean they have a checklist/scanner in the cinemas from now on I wonder?
Checklist would require one A4 sheet of paper with names passed on. Very cheap
Scanner would require a ticket scanner worth about £300 and router for the internet for it to work.. Not so cheap.
