So the preview at the O2 went ahead? Thank God, cause I thought I might have missed a trick by going there and getting the free vouchers instead of the film, then seeing it tomorrow instead. :shifty:

Loved it just as much the second time although I do admit it is too long and takes too long to get going. The "I want to know what love is" duet which for me is the highlight of the film, isn't until an hour in, and you can actually snooze through until Tom Cruise makes a first appearance - but then it's really really good. He just steals the show in every scene he's in.

Also, and I am not saying this lightly, I have to commend the Vue Islington tonight who took care of a packed screening by counting the remaining empty seats, showing people where they were and not starting the film until everyone was seated. Ok, so that meant we started 10 minutes late, but I'd rather have that than have latecomers obscure my view and annoy the heck out of me for the first 10 minutes of the film.

I spoke to someone behind me in the queue who also went to the premiere last night - are you on FMUK? Lovely to see MariaLionza and cinefila1 who this time neither tried to sit on me nor lost her glasses case. o/

Favourite quote:
"I am a stripper at the Venus Club."
"I am in a boy band."
"You win."

Worst quote:
"Tell him I am busy - busy falling in love."

Back from tonight at Westfield Stratford....Plot and storyline a little bit weak, some good performances - agree with Russell Brands bizzare accents throughout the film (why did he need an accent - he was almost playing himself !!)

Plot and Storyline was disappointing and lackluster
The Lead actors disappointing and lackluster

But Tom cruise, Russel Brand and Alec Baldwin (and also Paul Giamatti ) were very good and the songs were very good!

This film was so cheesy and I loved it

Went on my own as OH hates anything with singing - loved the cheesy hammy film. I remembered soooo many if not all the songs, was totally amazed. Tom Cruise looked as if he was having the time of his life up there. So, the voices were not as raunchy as the originals but nostalga made up for it. Will be getting this on DVD for own pleasure.

What was the atmosphere like in the cinemas? Shepherds Bush was full, but a pretty lacklustre audience. Lots of 'urghs' at the 'kissing' scene and at all the tongues :X

There was one mad cow down by the front, waving her phone around like a beacon, she then stood up, waved it around like she was looking for something. Then , jumped over the chairs and went out, sadly to return and carried on looking at her phone on and off
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks
