I think Man of Steel has been pushed back to 2013.

I could have sworn it was meant to be released at the end of 2012...

'That's My Boy' is an Adam Sandler stinker.

It hasn't even been a year since Adam Sandler tortured audiences with Jack and Jill.

But he's back with That's My Boy, another bottom-of-the-barrel raunchfest that is bound to make far more money than such sludge could ever deserve.

Sandler is capable of good performances. He proved it unequivocally with 2009's Funny People and in 2002's Punch-Drunk Love. Not every film has to be nuanced or important. But comedies do need to make people laugh.

For some reason, Sandler is hellbent on perpetuating and repurposing his annoying brand of moronic, preadolescent schtick. Worse, his lowbrow comedies seem to be sinking ever lower.

That's My Boy is beyond bad. It's two hours of non-stop wince-inducing misfires, punctuated by Sandler's distinctively grating voice. It's a nearly intolerable experience.

Another one to avoid!

Paramount has shut down pre-production on their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, while also pushing the release date from December 2013 to May 2014.

The Hollywood Reporter's sources say the film has script problems. The project -- which is simply called Ninja Turtles and has caused much ire among fanboys for changing the nature of said turtles and making them aliens -- is being produced by Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes outfit. Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) is directing a script by Kevin Eastman and Andre Nemec. (Eastman also happens to be one of the original creators of the characters.)
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

A Sesame Street movie is on the way

Having seen the Muppets enjoy a successful return to the big screen earlier in the year, the Sesame Street gang look set to follow suit with the news that Fox have hired Shawn Levy to develop a movie version of the long-running kids' show.

Levy, who was last seen directing Real Steel, will join the project as producer, and will bring the inhabitants of Sesame Street to the silver screen for only the third time, after Follow That Bird and Adventures Of Elmo In Grouchland.

The film is the latest addition to a forthcoming roster of Jim Henson films that have sprung from the wake of The Muppets' success. Unsuprisingly, one of those will be a Muppets sequel, while the critters of Fraggle Rock will also be making their way onto the big screen in the near future.

We'll be hoping that Bert and Ernie get plenty of screen time, alongside Oscar the Grouch, Elmo, and of course, the Cookie Monster. We were never that taken with Big Bird ourselves, but we'd imagine he'll be making an appearance as well.

No word as yet on when we can expect the film to arrive, but we'll be practicing our alphabet to make sure we're ready. Sunny day, sweeping those clouds awaaaaaay….

Hope Katie gets custody of Suri as the newspapers today are saying that the Scientology Church is one of the reasons for the divorce . . . though it does seem a shame to have done it just before Tom Cruise's 50th birthday this week.
