Idiotic things people say

Well I've always used that phrase when giving out my email address. I've often wondered about whether it works either way, but never actually had enough interest to bother putting it to the test. I have noticed, however that it often doesn't matter if you put "http://" or even "www" in front of web site addresses. I can't even remember what they mean it's been so long since they came out.

Yeah it used to matter and then successive updates in web-browser it seems you barely need to type the right word that's part of the URL for it to find it whereas back in the day you used to have to make sure you had all your backslashes/ forwardslashes right

Well me and you can continue to give out our email addresses how we like (& apparently look foolish to some) but part of it is an OCD thing that to me it's always been all lowercase and I wouldn't want someone writing it down some other way even if it doesn't matter in terms working I just want it to look the way it's always looked.

Maybe not now but they did when email addresses started out, so it depends how long he's had the email. Oh well I'll continue to be an idiotic person & mocked for it I guess. personally can think of much bigger idiots in the world than that

Why do some work places give you a new email that's your name with capitals & lowercase or all lowercase then?

They don't. I guess it's just the way they like to see it written, but it doesn't make a scrap of difference how you actually write it.

I doesn't matter NOW, it did when I got the email address.

Tbh I always tell people my email is all in lower case, habit I guess.
I have noticed that when I log in to me email from a different computer, it is case sensitive and I don't mean the password. This is possibly why I am case sensitive when I write it or say it.
