Towards the end of the movie, these lyrics are overheard in the popular Journey song: "Oh, the movie never ends"
These 5 words are the perfect embodiment of my resounding thoughts throughout this relentless, cheesy crapfest.

I'm not going to say anything more except that Russell Brand is definitely no Simon Lipkin, and I sincerely hope the producers of this movie rot in hell for ruining what is arguably one of the most hilarious characters ever conceived on Broadway.

Strange one for me. Originally I thought that TC and RB should have been cast the other way around. Russell has done the Rock God thing, and Tom can do comedy.

Now having seen the film a few times. Yes it is totally different to the show but that didn't bother me at all. Tom totally nailed it as Drew, a different Drew but one that worked.

As for Russell, why hire him then reign him in and give him a stupid Birmingham accent? Also the problem is Simon is Sound Man and Narrator which is a great role and gives him lots to do and he is brilliant at it. I haevn't seen the film for a while (waiting for my free copy) But, I don't remember there being a Narrator in it.

I think you mean Tom as Stacee, V, not Drew :p

jayman, no one can come close to the awesomeness of Simon Lipkin, but trying to see the film separate from the stage show l did enjoy both in different ways.

The live show is about a gajillion times better than the movie.
