his kind of humour isn't really the type for children is it? or is it? I just don't kind him funny just tries to get laughs by being offensive.

I think that would be a shame and an injustice to the books if they wrote his character out. They should replace him with a good, cheaper actor, i'm sure there would be plenty of takers.

I agree. Even though books two and three focused rather on Lisbeth, I don't think the movies can happen without Mikael Blomkvist, as I found him essential. So they just have to figure something out. Or they can leave it at part one, as the original Swedish films are excellent and don't need a Hollywood makeover.

The last muppets movie wasn't aimed at kids at all. Every child that I know that has seen it, hated it, more a nostalgia trip for parents. I won't be going to see a sequel :X
