Manchester Piccadilly to get the cheapest fare as its an extra £1.50 each way to Deansgate but if anyone is coming from across the country or up North if you get a ticket to Manchester stations rather than just Piccadilly you have free use of the metro in the city centre but for everyone else we have a free bus service throughout the city centre up until 7pm
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 7178,d.ZGU so if you want to have a free bus tour of the city just pop on and off and visit a few sites (it is free for everyone not just people with a train ticket so make the most of it). Our meet up venue is near to Deansgate station - I'll ask Yogi if he can upload a map for us all as I'm still dire at IT.
Just been looking at the map and I didn't even know that we had this
https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j ... 7178,d.ZGU so if we have any football fans it may be worth a look and it's free. I'll keep posting anything I find that might be of interest for the tourists plus us Mancunians. It was a different museum before I don't mean that I haven't noticed such a huge building

A few of us got them with the Sun. The Birmingham fares seem to be a little behind the others on giving cheap fares.
I have just seen noticed Much Ado About Nothing is on at The Royal Exchange theatre which is a tiny theatre in the city centre (I have never been but will certainly be putting this on my list to see). I will also add a list of theatres on the front page as it is a lot more affordable than London and if some of you are making a weekend of it it's worth looking into and rather than it getting lost in my wittering on I will make it more structured.

http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/tickets-o ... up-travel/ just found this so if there are 3 or more of you travelling together you all get 20%off each (not valid with redspottedhanky though). Lots of other companies also do discount on group travel so maybe worth having a chat with other FMUKers coming on the same train to get a really good deal.
