I'm hoping to get to see this. I originally gave up on the book, but the trailer gave me enough to work out what this was about! (I just did not get it before...)

I am loving it, although I do see inconsistencies (don't know if the ones I have seen are in the film or not).

But I have to finish the book first......

Why? So the film can disappoint you? Let's face it they always do when you know the book. I saw Tara Road (after book by Maeve Binchy) on TV yesterday. I should have known better!

I have to say I was disappointed with the film. It was ok, but not a patch on the book...

I have never read the book, so was not sure what the story was about. I found the film a little boring,it had a good cast but was slow sometimes and I found it a bit confusing, that may be because I did not read the book. Would only give it 5 out of ten.

I have to admit to being a bit disappointed. I'll type more, but I have to figure out how to do spoiler tags first. :p

I was looking forward to this screening and thought that the cast and the fact that one of the producers is Brad Pitt would guarantee a good movie. However, I was left disappointed - and I had not read the book so did not know the storyline. It felt as if important parts of the story had been left out without explanation and the movie overall just didn't make an impact. My advice is to wait and rent it once it comes out on DVD.

I have to say I didn't really think much of it either! Everyone I know who has read the book LOVES it, but I just couldn't get into it at all, and gave up. I thought I would give the story another chance and go and see the film, but I didn't think it was anything special. I just thought it was a bit blah...I didn't really care about any of the characters - I don't think I really felt anything at all! I don't think I'll be giving the book another chance... ;)

I thought it was an ok movie. The idea behind it was fantastic in theory but it was quite a watered down affair. The guy that wrote Ghost wrote the screenplay for this and you can see he tried to give it that kind of supernatural element but it was quite boring. Bana was good in it though.

Saw this today as I really wanted to see The Hurt Locker or Broken Embraces, but couldn't face either when it came to it as they are both so long. I hadn't read the book and hadn't even planned to see the film, so had no great expectations. It was OK - a rom-com with a twist, I suppose, though a bit depressing not only to have an unhappy ending but to know it's coming.

I took a while to get round to watching this one.

I did enjoy the movie, but there just seemed to be an ingredient missing that fell flat of what seemed to be promised in the trailer.

Bana's beauty kept me watching, though. Fickle, I know!
